Be Thankful And Spend Time With Loved Ones This Thanksgiving!

Falling on every fourth Thursday of November, Thanksgiving is a holiday to show what we are grateful for and honor the fall harvest with a bountiful feast.

Everyone observes the holiday in his or her own way, from watching football all day long, to playing football if the weather permits. Perhaps your family is really into parades, in which case the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is not one to be missed! Regardless of the traditions you keep, this holiday is about being surrounded by the people you love and cherish.

Another great way to celebrate is to have a Thanksgiving potluck; everyone brings his or her favorite traditional holiday dish to share. It’s a time to show appreciation for all of the wonderful moments that you have been blessed with and to celebrate all of the good and gracious people the world has.

I will be spending this holiday, the traditional way with my family and close friends. My mom and sister enjoy cooking together, while my dad and I like to throw the football around, bundled up in the crisp autumn air.

If you don’t have the chance to see everyone important to you, it’s a nice gesture to send a note expressing well wishes on Thanksgiving Day. Add a picture of a cornucopia or giant turkey to get in the spirit!
