Ah! October always brings back memories of Halloween for me.
Not everyone in my neighbourhood could afford expensive costumes, but that’s exactly what made it more fun and creative as we kids would scramble to out-do each other by making the best Halloween costumes and cheeky Jack-O-Lanterns.
To me, that’s what Halloween was really about. It was about the excitement (and hard work) to earn your candy. I sure learned a lot from this fun holiday.
It actually taught me a lot on being entrepreneurial (while honing my acting skills back when I first dreamed of becoming an actor). As adults, we may not be as excited about candy or scared by monsters anymore. But, the fun spirit of Halloween lives on. So let’s raise the spirit (pun intended) of Halloween and send smiles across miles with a Happy Halloween ecard!
