“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”
― Francis of Assisi
What motivates you to go to work every day? What drives you to perform? The first Monday of the September month is an exception and it will not be the Monday blues you will be worrying about but the Monday motivation instead will compel you to perform better and dream bigger.
Labor Day which falls on the first Monday of September month marks a day to honor the workers who put their shoulder to the wheel and help in manifesting the vision of organizations. It is a day to step out of the mundane and stop to smell the roses.
With every milestone achieved, do we thank the ones who have been behind it all or do we sit with the crown on our heads and forget about the contributions conveniently?
Labor Day is not just a day for barbecues and outings but it is a day to celebrate the fruits of our efforts and acknowledge our team. The worker who is performing with his heart and intelligence in an artist who deserves to be appreciated.
My dad always asked me to keep the attitude of giving my 100% to my job rather than just going through the day halfheartedly. He said, “Your day at work decides the quality of your life. If you can look back at your day with contentment, you can look ahead with hope instead of anticipation.”
On this Labor Day, we at 123greetings are going for a picnic and along with the beach, ball, barbecue and beer we are planning to have a bragging session for each person in the team. We enjoy it thoroughly, besides being an opportunity to throw light on everyone’s achievements and the interim bursts of laughter, we end up feeling inspired and regarded.
Enjoy the weekend. Be an inspiration, take the route of an artist.
Cheers! Happy Labor Day! Share your inspiration, see you in the comments.
